How does FASTACheckout work?

Select the FASTACheckout payment option on a participating online merchants' website.

Adjust the sliders to choose how you want to pay for your purchase.

Choose how much deposit you would like to pay.

Choose how much you would like to borrow from FASTA.

Choose over how many months you would like to repay your loan.

The costs of the loan will be displayed to you automatically helping you to choose an option that is most affordable for you.

The application process will guide you, making it clear what information we require to make a credit decision.

If approved, we will pay the full cash value of your purchase (Deposit + Loan amount) to the merchant directly.

How do I apply?

Simply select FASTACheckout as your payment option and follow the easy step-by-step online application without leaving the retailer’s website.

What do I need to apply?

You must:

  • Have a valid South African ID Number

  • Be 18 years or older

  • Earn a minimum monthly salary of R7000 for the last 3 months

  • Have a valid bank account in your name

  • Have a valid email address and mobile number

How long does it take to process my application?

Our process is fully automated, and we deal with your application in real-time. Through advanced technology, we are to give you feedback on your application in minutes.

Why do you need my bank statements?

Bank Statements allow us to verify your income, which is a requirement in terms of the National Credit Act’s regulations.

You will need to have your most recent 3 months bank statements showing your salary deposits.

There are 3 ways for us to verify your bank statements:

  1. You give us consent to review your bank statements

  2. You upload your bank statements to our system

  3. You email your bank statements to us from your banking app

When are my payments due?

The terms and conditions of your loan agreement will dictate your repayment dates.

How much can I borrow from FASTA and how long can I borrow it for?

We provide access to credit up to R8 000. You can choose to repay FASTA in up to 3 equal monthly instalments.

How do I make a manual payment?

Direct payments can be made by accessing your “My account” page, via the FASTA website.

Alternately, you can contact the Customer Service Team on 087 813 2782 or support@fasta.co.za to request a payment link to be sent to you.

Can I change the bank account that my debit order is deducted from?

You cannot change any bank details or contact details once you have accepted a loan agreement. This is for both your safety and ours.

Can I change my payment date?

At this stage, your payment date cannot be changed.

I do not think I am going to be able to make my next payment, what do I do?

Does FASTA charge any Fees or interest?

Yes. We don’t believe in hiding any costs or offering you more credit than you can afford, so our sliders give you an easy way to fully understand the total costs we will charge you according to how much you want to borrow. We do this right at the start, so you are in control and can make an informed decision based on what you can afford.

As a registered credit provider our Fees and Interest calculated are based on the Regulations set out in Chapter 5 of the National Credit Act 34 of 2005.

Will FASTA run credit checks when I apply?

Yes. We are committed to responsible lending and want what is best for you. We will not offer you more credit than you can afford to repay and believe that taking out additional credit should result in positive outcomes, not a prolonged financial burden.

FASTA will carefully evaluate your financial circumstances in terms of our lending criteria, which includes those required by the National Credit Act. Therefore, we check your credit rating with a registered credit bureau in South Africa.

What is an Initiation Fee and how much is it?

This is a once-off fee we charge you for the opening your FASTA loan account.

You can pay this amount separately or we will include it in your loan amount.

As a standard, we include this Fee in the instalment, we quote you. It’s is calculated as follows: FASTA charges 10% on the loan value plus 15% VAT. This Fee is capped to a maximum of R 1059 plus 15% VAT

What and how much is a monthly Service Fee?

This is a monthly charge for the maintenance and administration of your account, including statements, debit order processing and all ad-hoc correspondence.

FASTA will charge you R60 per month plus 15% VAT. This fee is already included in the instalment we quote you.

How much Interest will FASTA charge me?

We consider each application on its own merit. We charge a fixed interest rate per month which, depending on your unique credit risk profile at the time of application, may be between 0% to a maximum 3% or 5% (depending if it is your first or subsequent loan with FASTA)

Remember: The amount of interest we charge you is determined by how much you want to borrow and how long you want to borrow it for. We will never charge a rate of interest that exceeds the regulatory maximum as set out in Chapter 5 of the National Credit Act 34 of 2005

How do I make my monthly payments to FASTA?

During the application process and the acceptance of the Pre-Agreement, Statement and Quotation, you give us your permission to deduct the Repayment Amount via debit order, from your bank account, on the Repayment Date selected by you.

This means that the repayment of your FASTA loan is fully automated.

What do I need to do if my debit order details have changed?

Please contact the Customer Services Team via email at support@fasta.co.za for assistance.

How often will I receive my statement?

Your statement will be sent to you monthly, on the first business day of the new month, to the email address you have provided.

How do I change my personal details and contact information?

You can login to "My Profile" at any time using your ID and password or you can email support@fasta.co.za for assistance. Please note that you cannot change any contact details once you have accepted a loan agreement. This is for both your safety and ours.

What if I have a dispute with a merchant regarding the goods I’ve purchased?

You will need to resolve your dispute with the relevant merchant directly. FASTA is not a party to the agreement between you and the merchant and cannot be held liable for any issues with the merchant regarding repairs, exchanges, warranties, refunds or returns.

Is my data and personal information safe with FASTA?

We’ve gone to great lengths to ensure that our platform is safe and secure. We do not share your details with anyone and have a Privacy Policy, which you can read here.
